Jack has been with the PJ team since February 2018. He comes from a corporate IT background, with the last 4 years working within IT support for a US based pharmaceutical giant. Before that he was a student at the University of Portsmouth, where he studied a Computing and Society course. He has joined PurpleJelly to further his skillset and take on new and exciting challenges.
Jack is our office based 2nd line support engineer, but typically takes on anything within the 1st to 3rd line support spectrum. Some of his areas of support include: Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, Office 365, Exchange, Windows Server backup, Nakivo, Email Security (Barracuda ESS and Sentinel), Hyper-V, Hardware and software support. Recently Jack’s project work has mostly consisted of onboarding existing and new clients on to the email security platform Barracuda. He ensures a smooth transition over, and helps with any teething issues that may arise in the first weeks since configuration.
Outside of work Jack runs his own streetwear brand which he started when still at university. This was an attempt to somewhat stay contemporary, however as the years have passed he is now embracing his inner nerd. He’s just started making music as a side hobby and is also a proud glory hunter supporting Man United. He even chooses either the Red or Blue side of Manchester when he wishes, meaning his team usually always wins. He also supports Reading whenever they’re doing well. Jack is one of the kindest engineers we have, and he proves this when he allows other certain engineers to on-purposely beat him at table football.
