Josh has been at PurpleJelly since March 2014 where he joined the team as a 1st/2nd line support technician. Josh found his passion in IT at Godalming College which he completed an IT BTEC National course which got him his first taste of working in IT industry when he completed 2 weeks work experience in a computer shop resolving break fixes. When Josh finished college, he embarked on a yearlong IT Systems and Networking apprenticeship. This got his foot in the door for another local computer shop in which he could increase his knowledge fixing home user issues.
In March 2014 Josh took his career to the next step by joining PurpleJelly where he could focus developing his skills in a corporate world, working with Windows Server 2008/2012 along with Microsoft Exchange servers and Office 356.
Josh’s abilities have massively improved over his time at PurpleJelly and he likes to think that his knowledge of Office 365, PowerShell and Cloud Backup’s (Nakivo, Microsoft Azure & Datto) really benefit the support desk.
Having been on the support desk for over 5 years Josh has recently been given the opportunity to change roles within PurpleJelly and become Technical Account Manager, where his main responsibilities will include Client Relations, Contact Management and Continual Service Improvement. Josh is very excited to get started in his role, engaging with customers more and being on call if any issues arise.
Outside of work some of Josh’s passions include going to the gym, playing football for his local team Chiddingfold and getting very annoyed at attempting to play golf.
